Atos has formally launched a new CONMEBOL digital platform stack around the Libertadores and Sudamericana draws, pitching AI-driven personalisation, a gaming hub and richer match data as levers to grow fan engagement, club visibility and sponsor activation.

Atos has set out the technology services behind its partnership with CONMEBOL as the South American confederation operationally launched what it calls a next-generation digital ecosystem for its club competitions. The platform, unveiled around the CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana competition draws, is designed to connect official websites, mobile apps and a consolidated digital identity framework, giving CONMEBOL a route to build a proprietary fan database via cross-platform registration.Juan Emilio Roa, CONMEBOL’s commercial director, said: “At CONMEBOL, we are extremely pleased with the partnership with Atos Group, a commitment to innovation and excellence."This collaboration aligns with the Confederation’s principle of being a fan-centric institution, as we seek to enhance the experience of fans and followers of South American football around the world through our tournaments.”Atos said the initial release centres on three product pillars: a unified gaming hub bringing together football-themed games and challenges aimed at younger audiences; an upgraded match centre offering real-time data, live statistics and key moments across competitions; and personalisation features built on unified digital identities. The company said the ecosystem would be expanded throughout the season with additional interactive modules, alongside deeper use of advanced analytics and AI-powered insights to support targeted content and tailored fan interactions.Beyond fan-facing features, Atos positioned the build as a commercial and operational upgrade for CONMEBOL and its stakeholders, highlighting improved audience segmentation, more consistent content distribution and additional digital activation formats for sponsors.Clubs are expected to gain greater visibility through a unified environment and streamlined distribution of official content across competitions and platforms, while supporters will access content and interactions in real time across web and mobile, Atos said.Nacho Moros, head of Atos Major Events, said: “We are proud to support CONMEBOL in this new digital era with a comprehensive suite of technology services designed to bring fans closer to the competitions they love, while offering clubs and partners a high-performance and future-ready digital platform.”The launch builds on a strategic agreement announced in December naming Atos CONMEBOL’s official innovation partner for club competitions, including responsibility for developing new website and app solutions for CONMEBOL’s main tournaments.Atos has increasingly leaned on sport as a shop window for its wider digital transformation and cybersecurity capabilities, citing its long-running major events unit, its work with the Olympic and Paralympic movements, and its role as UEFA’s official IT partner for national team football.
