Fanatics sign Beckham to exclusive collectibles deal

Fanatics have signed David Beckham to an exclusive global partnership covering autographed memorabilia, trading cards, stickers, personal appearances and meet-and-greets, giving the company sole distribution rights to his full range of collectibles for the first time. The agreement brings the former England captain and Inter Miami co-owner into Fanatics’ growing football portfolio and will see Beckham’s first signed cards under the deal released this week in the returning ‘Topps Premier League Chrome’ product line. Fanatics Collectibles president of trading cards David Leiner framed the move as part of a broader effort to expand football’s position in the collectibles market. “When I look at how we can continue to grow our soccer business – which I think is under-penetrated in the collectibles category – we’ve had our list of guys we need to get. David is right at the top of that.” Leiner also pointed to Beckham’s scarcity in the autograph market as part of the appeal, with Fanatics positioning the partnership as both a high-end memorabilia play and a mass-market trading card driver. “A player like David Beckham, he’s just going to continue to elevate collectibles, elevate the Topps brand.” Beckham’s first autographed cards for Fanatics are scheduled to appear in ‘2026 Topps Premier League Chrome’, which Fanatics confirmed will launch on 5 February. The deal also marks a shift from Beckham’s previous exclusive arrangement with Panini, which signed him to an autograph and memorabilia agreement in 2021. Fanatics have been expanding aggressively in football collectibles through Topps, including rights deals covering major properties and a strategy aimed at converting global football audiences into regular buyers of licensed cards and memorabilia, with Beckham now positioned as a flagship name in that push.
