FIFA’s 2025 accounts show president Gianni Infantino received a US$6m pay package including a 33% bonus rise, while disclosure in the same World Cup cycle indicates he is on course for more than US$10m in bonuses before the 2026 tournament.
FIFA has disclosed that president Gianni Infantino received a US$6m pay package in 2025, with his annual bonus rising 33% after the governing body staged its first expanded men’s Club World Cup in the United States. The pay detail was published in FIFA’s annual reporting for 2025, which also indicates Infantino is on course to receive about US$10.7m in bonuses across the current four-year World Cup cycle following his last raise.Infantino said FIFA’s financial growth was intended to translate into wider investment in the game. “This is not just about numbers, but about concrete outcomes,” he said.FIFA reported Infantino’s base salary was unchanged at 2.6m Swiss francs (about US$3.3m) and his bonus rose by 550,000 Swiss francs to 2.2m Swiss francs (about US$2.8m) for 2025.The bonus had been 1.65m Swiss francs in each of the previous two years, according to the same reporting.FIFA did not disclose any additional potential entitlements beyond salary and bonus, though the AP report said it was unclear whether Infantino was due further payments connected to maintaining homes in Switzerland and Florida, where FIFA has a base supporting 2026 World Cup operations. The 2025 Club World Cup was a material commercial driver in the cycle, with FIFA stating it added about US$2bn to revenue for the current four-year period, which is set to be at least US$13bn through the 2026 men’s World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.FIFA has also set out a larger forward budget, projecting US$14bn in revenue for the 2027–2030 cycle and development funding of US$2.7bn under the FIFA Forward programme.Infantino is due for re-election in 2027 for a fourth mandate that would extend his presidency to 2031, which FIFA reporting describes as the maximum under its current statutes for his term structure.
