Hammarby have agreed a multi-year main partnership with Revolut that puts the fintech brand on the front of both the men’s and women’s shirts and makes it the club’s financial services partner.
Hammarby have appointed Revolut as their new main partner in a deal that will see the digital banking platform take the front-of-shirt position for both the club’s men’s and women’s teams. The Stockholm club described the agreement as one of the largest commercial partnerships in its history, with Revolut also becoming Hammarby’s financial partner as part of a broader services-led relationship.Tomas Lindgren, Hammarby’s head of sales, said: “We are extremely proud to begin a long-term partnership with Revolut. This is a global player that moves quickly, challenges conventions and shares our ambition to always stay one step ahead. Together we can create significant value for our supporters, members and the club.”Beyond branding, the partnership includes an operational component, with Hammarby set to adopt Revolut Business for internal activity such as foreign exchange and expense management, reflecting a wider trend of fintech sponsors extending into payments and club operations rather than pure media exposure.Revolut’s marketing lead for the Nordics, Cassandra Härdner, said the partnership is aimed at deeper integration with supporters, adding: “We want to become a natural part of supporters’ everyday lives.”The commercial package also includes fan-facing activations and incentives tied to Revolut sign-ups and usage.Revolut and Hammarby have also signalled plans for supporter experiences linked to the partnership, including access opportunities around tickets and club events as the fintech looks to position itself closer to matchday and travel-related spending behaviour among football fans.
