Manchester City have signed N-able as their official cybersecurity partner, adding an AI-led security provider to strengthen the club’s digital resilience across both their men’s and women’s operations.
Manchester City have announced a partnership with N-able that will see the cybersecurity group become the club’s Official Cybersecurity Partner across both their men’s and women’s teams. The agreement centres on protecting “critical systems, data, and daily operations” across City’s digital environment, as clubs and multi-club groups continue to expand their technology footprint around performance, ticketing, media, retail and stadium operations.James Tennant, Director of Technology – Information Security at City Football Group, said: “Manchester City is a leading global brand within sport and beyond and with that comes the requirement for us to continually invest in technology and services to protect our people, our data, and our operations.“N-able offers advanced end-to-end solutions that will help us as we continue to evolve and future-proof operations and we look forward to working with them as part of this new agreement announced today.”N-able will work with the club to integrate its technology into City’s existing infrastructure, including the provision of AI-powered cybersecurity solutions aimed at improving detection and response across the organisation.Commercially, the deal also includes brand visibility across a mix of digital and physical assets within the men’s and women’s first-team portfolios, aligning with a broader trend of enterprise technology suppliers using elite sport partnerships to build awareness and demonstrate credibility in high-availability environments.Vikram Ramesh, N-able’s chief marketing officer, positioned the partnership as a resilience play aimed at reducing disruption risk, as clubs increasingly operate across global markets, multi-platform content operations and always-on fan engagement channels.Manchester City’s wider estate includes the Etihad Stadium, the Joie Stadium and the City Football Academy on the Etihad Campus, with the club also developing a year-round entertainment and leisure destination at the site.Cybersecurity has become a more visible line item across the sports industry as rights holders digitise core operations and fan journeys, while also managing the reputational and regulatory impact of potential service disruption and data incidents.Manchester City did not disclose the financial terms or length of the agreement.
