PSG have launched a year-round global running platform to deepen fan engagement beyond matchdays, combining events, local run clubs and digital community features under a new ‘PSG Running’ banner.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have launched a new global running initiative aimed at bringing together supporters and runners across France and international markets as the club expands its lifestyle and community strategy.PSG Running is a year-round programme designed to connect its fan base through participation sport rather than matchday attendance alone, with activity planned both in France and overseas.PSG CEO Victoriano Melero said: "As our fan base continues to grow in engagement and energy, we see running as a natural extension of the Club’s ambition. "With over 12 million regular runners in France and around 600 million worldwide — including a rapidly expanding female audience — this is a global movement. "Our goal is to unite our community, especially the Next Generation, around performance, self-improvement and meaningful sporting experiences, while aligning our initiatives with the evolving expectations of our fans."The programme includes the return of ‘We Run Paris’, the club’s 10km race, which is scheduled for June 28 2026 and will finish outside Parc des Princes, with medal collection inside the stadium. The initiative also includes kids’ races as part of a broader family-focused activation.PSG Running will also expand internationally through local run clubs, with London named as the first city in the rollout, while a digital PSG Run Club on Strava is due to launch in March. Training guidance, nutrition content and performance advice are also part of the offer.Sir Mo Farah has joined the programme as an ambassador, giving the project immediate athletics credibility as PSG seek to position running as a regular touchpoint for supporters outside the football calendar.Farah said: “It is a real honour to join Paris Saint-Germain. I’m proud to be associated with a club that places passion and mentorship at the heart of its identity, and to share my experience with the next generation and PSG fans around the world.”The move reflects a broader push by elite clubs to build deeper daily engagement through fitness, community and digital participation, with PSG using its global fan network to extend the brand into wellbeing and active lifestyle spaces.
