Saudi football’s domestic competitions have agreed a new broadcast-rights deal for the Middle East and North Africa that values the package at SR2.32 billion (about US$618.5 million) over six seasons, running until the end of the 2030–31 campaign.
Saudi Pro League, First Division League and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) have confirmed the total value of a new television broadcast-rights agreement covering Saudi football competitions across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).The six-season deal is valued at SR2.32 billion (around US$618.5 million) and runs from August 2025 until the end of the 2030–31 season.Thmanyah, a subsidiary of Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG), secured the broadcast rights and will lead production and distribution across the region, drawing on its experience in content production and digital product development. The deal also leans on SRMG’s broader network of digital and television platforms, alongside its broadcast and distribution infrastructure.Rights fees for Saudi football have been a growing point of focus as the leagues push to professionalise output and improve the overall media product for audiences inside and outside the Kingdom. The new agreement is designed to provide a stable, multi-year framework that supports investment in production standards and the wider broadcast ecosystem, while aligning with broader changes in the regional sports media market. The contract is intended to strengthen clubs’ financial resources through an approved revenue distribution model, positioning the broadcast agreement as a key pillar in the sport’s commercial growth strategy and a mechanism to support longer-term product development. The agreement is seen to be part of a coordinated approach to develop football content and delivery across MENA over the next six seasons.
