Volkswagen will sponsor the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and national teams in 2026 and 2027.

Volkswagen has returned as a sponsor of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) in a partnership covering Brazil’s men’s and women’s national teams and youth sides until to 2027.The agreement was announced at an event at CBF headquarters in Rio de Janeiro and is positioned around the next two major national-team cycles – the 2026 men’s World Cup and the 2027 Women’s World Cup, which Brazil will host.Volkswagen Brasil president and chief executive Ciro Possobom said: “Volkswagen Brasil’s support for the CBF and the Brazilian men’s and women’s national football teams in all categories fills us with pride, especially in these symbolic years of 2026 and 2027. "Only a car manufacturer with 72 years in Brazil — made by Brazilians, produced here and deeply connected to the country — could undertake a sponsorship of this magnitude. Throughout our history, we have become the largest car manufacturer in Brazil, with more than 26.2 million vehicles produced, generating more than 200,000 direct jobs, and many more indirect ones, contributing to the development of Brazilian industry and economy, driving innovation, inclusion and diversity. "Now, we are entering the field to unite two passions that move Brazil: cars and football, which excites, inspires and connects the entire country. After all, as I always say, every Brazilian has stories with Volkswagen and also with our football.”CBF president Samir Xaud said the deal links two brands with a long relationship to Brazilian identity. “The partnership between Volkswagen and the CBF symbolises the union of two forces that have shaped Brazilian identity over decades. "On one hand, a car manufacturer that helped drive the country’s industrial development; on the other, the institution that represents the greatest national passion.”Volkswagen said it will also launch a special-edition car inspired by football, with details to be confirmed.
